The Outsiders-Report
DUE FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6th

In S.E. Hinton’s The
Outsiders, we learn about a group of young men who are treated
differently because of their looks, social-status, and background. Of
course, we know that Ponyboy and his pack of Greasers aren’t bad simply
because of these traits, but history often isn’t as kind. In fact, radical
and different views, beliefs, actions, or personal traits, sometimes, lead
to turmoil and suffering.
Attached is a list of
“outsiders” that was constructed with the aid of many teachers and friends.
Your goal is to pick one of these select-individuals and report as to why
your person was treated as an “outsider,” and how they fought-through their
“outsiderness.”
The
report should follow these basics.
Who is your person?
Where are/were they from?
(Country, State, City?)
Why are/were they an
“outsider.”
THIS IS

*Find a picture of your
“outsider.”
Length-3 paragraphs.
Either print your "outsider's"
picture and paste it onto your paper with your paragraphs or put your
paragraphs and picture on poster board.
