For most of the fall, our history reading will focus
on the Roman Republic up to the death of Julius Caesar. |

Near the end of the fall semester your classroom will
be transformed into a courtroom. Your class will divide up into
prosecution and defense teams as we hold a trial for the murderers of
Julius Caesar. |

| Latin Story and
Book Project |
After the winter break you
will compose a fable or adventure story in Latin and publish it as a
book. |

| National Latin
Exam |
In early March you will have
a chance to compete with Latin students from across the United States
on a test covering Latin language and Roman culture. We will
spend some time reviewing and if you score well, you have a chance to
win a medal or certificate. |

| Latin Book Party |
When your Latin story books come back from the
bookbinder, we will have a party complete with togas and refreshments. |
