Spanish 7, Sections 1 & 3 Home

¡Bienvenidos a la página de Español
7, secciónes 1 y 3!
Welcome to Spanish 7, Sections 1 and 3! You will relax
after the first day when you see that you remember a lot more than you
thought! You learn new material as we review what you learned in sixth and
fifth grade Spanish. You will continue to work on your fluency by learning vocabulary
and grammar, in context. We play games, create short dialogues and skits,
watch movies, sing, listen to songs, read stories and do un-graded journal
writing. You will learn how you best learn a language by doing listening,
writing, reading comprehension and speaking activities. We use our laptops
to do Intigas y Aventuras, Take Home Tutor, research, games
and projects. A big part of the class is learning kabout the countries, the people and the cultures
of the Spanish-speaking world.
Use Spanish in class, take risks and don't be afraid
of making mistakes!
We have class and homework five nights a week. By the end
of the school year, we will have completed the textbook
and workbook En Español 1B. You will be able to talk about yourself,
your family, your home, your school and your community using simple sentences
in the present and the preterit tenses. You will know how to greet people,
introduce yourself and others, talk about clothing, likes and dislikes,
sports, weather. You will also learn how to give
directions, to describe places in towns and cities, to order food and
how to go shopping, to describe a house and what people do at home, and
in certain professions.
Our Latin American Fiesta before the winter break is one
of our highlights.
