Digital Photography 4 Home
Welcome!

In Digital Photography, students are taught
through project-based learning, the classic art of photography as well as
the software and digital principles that allow for the further manipulation
and creation of images on the computer. The class is held in the PC Lab,
though we do move around the school quite a bit to shoot “on location”. The
students learn to cover assemblies and school events, and sometimes
contribute their photos for use in the yearbook, the student
and parent
newsletters, and the Town School web site. We work with Nikon 800, 950, and
5000 digital cameras, as well as software such as Adobe Photoshop, ACDSee,
PowerPoint and Pagemaker. Through the study of Digital Photography at Town,
there is a wonderful convergence of art and technology, resulting in
near-professional output not to mention a great deal of fun! Students
receive a CD with their class files at the end of this semester elective.
