Thank you for expressing an interest in Town School for Boys. For your planning purposes, all boys applying
to the Fall 2008 kindergarten class must turn five (5) by
July 15, 2008.
The following is Town School’s admission procedure:
- A tour of Town school
- A parent interview with the Director of Admission,
Lynn McKannay
- Receipt of your application and $75 application fee by January
11, 2008
Families applying to kindergarten:
Please sign and submit the Student Evaluation
Form* to
your son’s present school and have the school mail it to Town
School before January 11, 2008. You will be notified of a date and
time for your son’s school visit upon receipt of the application.
Visits are scheduled on the following Saturdays: January 12th and 26th.
It is recommended that you send your application in early, as the
visiting days fill quickly. This visit is a developmental and social
assessment.
Families applying to grades
one and two:
Families applying to grades one through four please sign and submit both the enclosed Transcript Release Form and the Student Evaluation Form to your son's school and have them mail the Evaluation Form to Town School before January 11, 2008. Your son will be invited to spend a full day at Town School in January and an assessment will be done at that time.
Families applying to grades three through eight:
Families applying to grades five through eight please sign and submit both the enclosed Transcripts Release Form and the Student Evaluation Form to your son's school and have them mail the Evaluation Form to Town School before January 11, 2008. Your son will be invited to spend a full day at Town School in January.
An admissions test will
be given on February 9, 2008 for boys applying to grades
five through eight. Many schools share test results; therefore,
if you choose to take the test elsewhere, please notify us. Admissions
decisions will be mailed on March 12, 2008.
