 LAST CALL FOR LEAP AND EXTENDED DAY REGISTRATION!

 K-6 Families interested in LEAP classes or Extended Day for the Winter/Spring Semester should  turn in registration forms and payment to Lindsey Buendia in the Town School Office ASAP, as  classes start next week (January 25)! There are still openings in many classes. Enrollment  materials for both programs can be found on the Town School After School Programs Website.  Contact Nicky DeCesare via email, or phone her at extension 130 with any questions.

 
 UPCOMING MUSICAL PERFORMANCES

 PARENT EDUCATION NETWORK WORKSHOP IS THIS  FRIDAY,  JANUARY 22:
 The topic is "Helping Children Learn to Navigate the Social Demands of Recess and Free Time"  and the event is held at The Exploratorium from 9:00-11:00 am. Click here for more information.
 
 CLOTHES CLOSET CURBSIDE DONATION DRIVE!

 On Tuesday, January 26 and Wednesday, January 27, volunteers will be collecting your  donations at morning drop-off. Your sons brought donation bags and forms home yesterday.  Please fill them with quality donations, and help support Town's Faculty Enrichment and Tuition  Assistance Programs. Purge your closets for the New Year!! If you happen to miss the drive,  drop your donations into the new Clothes Closet Donation Bin, located  at the base of the 1st  floor stairwell. Thank you!!

  2010 STUDENT FAIR UPDATE!
  • Raffle tickets will be sent home with your son today, Wednesday, January 20. Learn general raffle information in the Fair Overview. Each boy is asked to sell two books ($10 per book of 12 or $1 per ticket). Ticket stubs and money collected should be returned to the homeroom teacher.
  • WE STILL NEED RAFFLE PRIZE DONATIONS! Raffle prizes of any sort generate excitement for raffle sales and are appreciated by winners.
  •  For more specific information about the fair, please read the Fair Overview. Fourth through Eighth grade Homeroom teachers will organize the booth selection and work times for those boys.
  • If you are interested in volunteering at the fair, we'll need help with the prize room, the bake sale, and the video game room. Please contact Nick Cofod for questions or donations.
  • If your Lower School son is interested in performing in the Lower School talent show, please see the LS Talent Show Flyer or contact Nick Cofod.
  • Read the Fair Day Schedule to get a more specific look at timing of Fair Day itself, Friday, February 12th.
  • If you have prize donations, would like to volunteer, or want to ask a question, please contact Nick Cofod or 921-3747x129.
  • This year the funds from the Fair will be donated to Haiti Earthquake relief and the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Francisco.

 CLASS OF 2013:
 The 5th grade spring coffee is this Friday, January 22nd, from 8:30 to 9:30 am in the cafeteria.  Topics  include media literacy (with a visit from Common Sense Media) as well as the upcoming  Marin Headlands trip.

 NOTE FROM THE ATHLETIC AND PE DEPARTMENT:

 Please make sure your son wears shoes with non-marking soles to PE. The gym floor was  refinished over the break and we would like to keep it looking nice. Also, there is no food or  drink allowed in the gym; water is allowed only. Thank you.
 
 UPCOMING MILE RUNS FOR UPPER SCHOOL PE STUDENTS:
 The next mile run is Wednesday, January 27. Students should bring shorts, athletic shoes, water  bottle, and a jacket or sweatshirt. We will be increasing the distance by one lap around Alta  Plaza on this run.
 
 ATTENTION PARENTS OF 5TH-8TH GRADERS WHO WANT TO PLAY  LACROSSE:
 There are mandatory lacrosse meetings next week for all U15 parents and players (a U15  player is anyone born in 1996 or before) on Monday, January 25th from 6:00-6:30 pm in the  Theater, and for all the U13 parents and players (a U13 player is anyone born in 1997 or after)  on Tuesday, January 26th from 5:30-6:00 pm in the Theater. Contact David Lee with any  questions.
