 REMINDER TO PARENTS:

 Re-enrollment contracts were due February 19.  If you are returning in the fall, please send in  your signed contract and $500 deposit immediately. If you have alternative plans for your son,  please let Lynn McKannay know.  Thank you.

 THE TOWN FAIR RAISED $7000:
 Once again the Fair was a resounding success. We raised $6300 for Haiti earthquake relief and  $700 for the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Francisco. The success of the Fair depends on parent  generosity with respect to time, raffle donations, and sales of drawing tickets. The Fair is truly a  community success--thanks to all. Lindsey Buendia will distribute drawing prizes. A list of  winners can be found here.
 
 Q & ADHD: AN EDUCATIONAL FORUM FOR PARENTS THURSDAY,  MARCH 4th:
 All are invited to attend the forum tomorrow, Thursday, March 4, 7:00 pm, Covington Elementary  School, 205 Covington Road, Los Altos, CA. Medical researchers Dr. Richard Abbey and Dr. Hans  Steiner will hold an open discussion about the background and symptoms of ADHD and dyslexia.  Attendees will have a chance to ask questions, talk to other parents, and share personal  stories.  BAKE SALE MARCH 5th:
 There will be a bake sale Friday, March 5th  for the Cultural Heritage Festival, beginning  at 2:00 pm. We will have lots of tasty treats  sold by friendly 4th graders.  VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
 Conferences are coming on March 11 and 12, and the Parents' Association will provide the  faculty and staff with  breakfast, lunch and snacks on both days.  SMART PARENTING IN AN ONLINE WORLD:

Sixth and OPTIONAL 8th grade conferences will be held on Friday,  March 12th.  8th GRADE PARENTS: DANCE AND PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES
  • The independent school dance for 8th grade students is coming up on the evening of Friday, March 12th. We'd love to have a couple of parent volunteers who are willing to help out with the dance.
  • Note that Friday March 12 is also the day for optional 8th grade parent-teacher conferences; see note above for more info.
