 ATTENTION FIRST GRADE PARENTS!
 There has been a case of pink eye, conjunctivitis, reported in first grade. If your son exhibits any  symptoms please see his pediatrician right away. If your son does have pink eye, keep him at  home until he is no longer contagious. Thank you.

 PICTURE RETAKES:
 Photo retakes will be taken this Friday, October 23. Order forms are available here, in your son's  homeroom, or in the front office. Please send your order form to school with your son or return it  to his homeroom teacher.

 INVITATION TO LATINO AFFINITY DINNER OCTOBER 29, 6-8 pm:

 Please join us for the annual Latino Affinity Dinner in the Town School dining room. The entire  family is invited to join us for music, art, and wonderful food. Come learn how to make "papel  picado," Day of the Dead artwork, from 6-7pm with our special guest, Sra. Hermina Alvaran  Romero from the Mission Cultural Center. Following the fun art activity, you'll enjoy delicious food  and music. Please bring a main dish to serve 8.  SIBLINGS: LOOKING AHEAD TO KINDERGARTEN 2010!

 The deadline for sibling applications is Friday, October 23. Boys applying to the fall kindergarten  class must turn 5 by July 15, 2010. Your sons are invited to visit Town School for their playdate  on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 8:45 am. Meanwhile, please have your son's nursery school  fill out the evaluation form in the admission packet and mail it to Town School prior to October  23. You may pick up an admission packet in the Admission Office. Thank you.

 eScrip is an effortless way to donate to Town!
 If you have registered on eScrip, you must update your Safeway Club Card annually. The  deadline is November 1st. We need at least 1/3 of our families to do this! Please go to  escrip.com or access the site via the banner on your class page and update today. Our school ID  is 141470120.  HAVING TROUBLE VIEWING THE PARENTS' ASSOCIATION WEB  PAGES OR CLASS PAGES?

 There have been several reports that the PA Web pages and Class pages are difficult to view  using Internet Explorer for PC. We are currently researching this issue. Until resolution, there  are several recommendations. Make sure you are using IE V 8 (most of the issue have been  reported from those using earlier versions) or switch to Firefox for the PC or Safari for the PC.  (Note that both of these browsers can import Favorites from IE.) Remember, you can always get  PA and Class announcements directly in your email inbox if you are familiar with RSS feeds or by  subscribing to the pages using Feedmyinbox.com. f you still have issues, please email the PA  Tech Liaison.

 FACULTY WORKSHOP NOTICE
 Today the Town faculty will participate in an inservice workshop from 2:00 to 5:00 pm today. Out of  respect for parent work schedules, we are not sending students home early. From 2:00 pm until  dismissal, Upper School students will be viewing a film in the theater under faculty supervision.

 BLUE AND WHITE DAY!

 Come cheer on Town athletes on Wednesday, Oct. 28th. Fifth grade cross country runners are  finishing up the season with a race against Stuart Hall and Cathedral at 4:00 pm at Julius Kahn  Park. After the race, come over to Morton Field to see our 8-1 Soccer Team play Brandeis in the  last regular season game. Game starts at 4:00 pm and lasts about one hour. And of course,  wear your blue and white! Go Tigers!!!

 PRESIDIO BOULEVARD IS NOW OPEN!

 The Presidio Traffic Management Study will conclude on Wednesday, October 21. We're able ;to  end several days early because we have verified that the data we have collected is sound and  sufficient to conduct our analysis. Presidio Boulevard will reopen to through traffic in the late  morning (approximately 10 am); the remaining small streets closed during the study will reopen  by the end of the week. The speed cushions and all-way stop control measures will remain in  place.
