In addition to taking on a rigorous academic
workload, students also take advantage of a multitude of extra-curricular
activities at Town. The goal of all these events is to develop a
well-rounded student who will be a productive contributor to society.
Students participate in activities, such as:
- Small weekly discussion groups led by faculty,
- Student
Council through elections and service,
- Community
service through a wide array of projects,
- Day-long field trips directed by the faculty,
- Luncheon clubs, including
book, history, stock market, and math puzzles; and after-school
clubs including woodshop and cricket,
- Publishing of the school newspaper, the Town
Crier,
- Production and design of Town
Tiger, the school yearbook,
- Experience an overnight outdoor
education trip for each class in the Upper School.
Clubs
Clubs offer informal student-centered learning environments in which
boys can consider interesting ideas or skills without any required
assessment. They are strictly voluntary for students with similar
interests and proceed at a relaxed pace, often over lunch.
For more information about a particular club, contact
the teacher of the club directly.
