Edgar Tamayo has a BS in Business Administration from Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla in Mexico. He also has a Certificate in Computerized Accounting from Los Angeles Pacific College and is currently pursuing a CPA license at UCLA Extension.

Which of the Town School values (respect, curiosity, belonging, integrity and joy) do you most identify with, and why?

Belonging. I believe a strong and united community can accomplish anything. When there is general sense of belonging, people feel safe, and more likely to thrive at the fullest potential.

What are your hobbies outside of school?

I enjoy playing chess on a daily basis, especially the bullet variation (1 minute time limit) as well as strategy board games or video games. I also enjoy spending time with my family, having fun conversations over coffee, and reading about astronomy, fitness, and nutrition.
