Which of the Town School values (respect, curiosity, belonging, integrity and joy) do you most identify with, and why?

Curiosity because I tend to ask a lot of questions, and one of my biggest goals as a teacher is to inspire students to question the world around them and see things from different perspectives. Since coming to Town, belonging has had a greater importance to me. Even in my first days working at Town, I felt a strong sense of belonging from my colleagues, families, and students. This helped me realize why belonging is such an important value, as it allows people to be their best selves and be empathetic and kind to others.

What are your hobbies outside of school?

I love taking walks through the city, particularly in Golden Gate Park. I also enjoy cooking, baking, puzzles, board games, and arts and crafts such as making my own jewelry. And of course recently, spending time with my husband and baby!
