Curriculum Around Town--6th Grade Humanities

Sixth grade Humanities students learn about Medieval cultures in Europe, Africa and Asia.
In their unit on Medieval Africa, they examine how various cultures have influenced contemporary American culture. Collaboratively, they created a mural that visually depicts these influences and wrote didactic wall labels explaining the historical connections. Students present this work to faculty, staff and students from other grades.
