Which of the Town School values (respect, curiosity, belonging, integrity and joy) do you most identify with, and why?

I believe they all inform each other and that, to me, is the inherent value of our school values. Of the five, however, I personally identify the most with integrity and joy. I think integrity is important when it comes to how we see ourselves as part of a community, and acting with integrity is worth striving for during and beyond school; it's a lifelong skill. The other value I identify most with is joy. I like to make jokes and see others smile and laugh. So if there's a joke to be found I will definitely do the searching. I like to think I'm pretty funny and that my students do too, or, at least, they make me feel good by laughing anyway!

What are your hobbies outside of school?

I love all things food. I spend a lot of my time inside the kitchen and thinking about what I'm going to eat next. Cooking is definitely a passion of mine, so much so that I started a pop-up in my backyard serving hot fried chicken. The other passion of mine is basketball. I'm a junkie. I coach throughout the year and have been doing it longer than I've been teaching.
