Emily has an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and an MA in Ethnic Studies from San Francisco State University. She earned her BA in Anthropology with a minor in Social and Ethnic Relations from the University of California, Davis.

Which of the Town School values (respect, curiosity, belonging, integrity and joy) do you most identify with, and why?
Curiosity – I love asking "Why?" and enjoy finding out the answer from as many different perspectives as possible. In my younger days, I thrived off of the adventure of moving to a new city or country, without knowing anyone, and simply figuring it out. Newness and starting afresh excite me.

What are your hobbies outside of school?
Cooking, outdoor hikes, time spent with friends and family, searching for the "perfect" burrito, exploring different playgrounds with my children, and DIY home improvement projects.
