Julie Alonso holds a BA from the University of Texas at Austin in English and an MLIS from San José State University.

Which of the Town School values (respect, curiosity, belonging, integrity and joy) do you most identify with, and why?

I most identify with the value of belonging because it's so important to feel welcome and at peace, which is how I feel at Town. I also think striving to make everyone feel that way naturally brings in the other values of respect, curiosity, integrity, and joy.

What are your hobbies outside of school?

I enjoy reading, taking naps, spending time with my friends and family, planning vacations I may or may not take, celebrity gossip, Disneyland, eating burritos, Netflix binges, and being forty tabs deep down internet rabbit holes.
