Lawana has an MA in Education and a BA in Psychology with an emphasis in Child Development, both from the University of San Francisco. She also holds Teaching Credential in Special Education K-12.

Which of the Town School values (respect, curiosity, belonging, integrity and joy) do you most identify with, and why?
The Town School value that I identify with is joy. Joy is essential to our overall well being and resilience in life. Joy is something that we all have in us and can access at any time. Being at Town you are able to experience joy all around you. Joy brings openness, connection, and gratitude in both big and small moments.

What are your hobbies outside of school?
Walking all over San Francisco, hiking the Bay Area, getting on my indoor bike while binging Netflix, reading, and puzzles!
