Lisa Schneider holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from University of California at Santa Barbara, an MBA from the University of Oregon, Eugene, and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and MA in Teaching Reading from the University of San Francisco.

Which of the Town School values (respect, curiosity, belonging, integrity and joy) do you most identify with, and why?

Joy. Creating a learning environment where students are challenged to be their best selves, to persevere when confronted with obstacles, and to believe in their own abilities is one of my goals as an educator. I believe a joyful environment that supports and nurtures students is the key to a positive school experience.

What are your hobbies outside of school?

In my free time I enjoy playing soccer with my children, watching formula 1 car racing and training for my first marathon.
