Maria Weiss has a BA in Psychology and Film Production from Scripps College and is working towards Outdoor and Environmental Education Certification from the Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education.

Which of the Town School values (respect, curiosity, belonging, integrity and joy) do you most identify with, and why?

I most identify with the values of curiosity and joy. I believe it’s important to question the systems and practices of our society and environment and always experience life with an open mind. I also believe finding joy and passion in the things we do should be a priority.

What are your hobbies outside of school?

I love making music and art, roller skating, and swimming in the ocean :)
