Michael Vestergaard holds a BA in Biology from Dartmouth College, an MA in Teaching from USF, and a Single Subject Biology California Teaching Credential. 

Which of the Town School values (respect, curiosity, belonging, integrity and joy) do you most identify with, and why?

Belonging. Throughout my educational career the most valuable experiences for me have been ones in which I am able to put down roots and participate as an active member of a community. It is an incredible privilege to not only participate in such a community as this here at Town but also to belong to one as my true, authentic self and I hope to enable the same feeling for my students.

What are your hobbies outside of school?

I love cooking and eating good food; I tolerate and even sometimes enjoy distance running; I play and participate in games of all kinds, and last but not least I will read all the fantasy and sci-fi stories I can get my hands on.
